EduLife Expands in Moldova: Free Menstrual Products for Schoolgirls
Access to menstrual hygiene products remains a challenge for some girls in Moldova.
The “EduLife School” program, supported by UNFPA, is being expanded to additional schools. As part of this initiative, schoolgirls are provided with free menstrual hygiene products.
According to the information published by UNFPA, the measure aims to support school attendance and improve conditions for girls during menstruation.
Limited access to menstrual products can contribute to school absenteeism and reduced participation in educational activities. Providing these products in schools is intended to address this barrier.
The program also includes components related to education on menstrual health, contributing to increased awareness and access to information.
The current expansion covers a number of schools, with the possibility of further development depending on implementation and resources.
