The Levoplant contraceptive implant is a set of two small, soft, flexible rods that feel like a rubber band, which are inserted under the skin of the patient’s arm. They are very thin and about 2-3 cm long. The implant releases into the body the hormone that prevents the woman from getting pregnant. The implant must be inserted by a healthcare provider, the procedure takes less than 10 minutes and the woman is covered with protection for 3 years.
