According to the programme, the initiative aims to improve the quality of services, expand equitable access to sexual and reproductive healthcare and strengthen public health interventions in this field over the next five years.<\/p>\r\n
Recent data show that access to reproductive healthcare and modern contraception remains uneven. According to the 2024 Generations and Gender Survey (GGS), the demand for family planning satisfied through modern contraceptive methods reaches 56.9% among married or cohabiting women. The figure is higher in urban areas (61.2%) than in rural areas (53.4%), highlighting persistent disparities in access to services and information.<\/p>\r\n
The programme establishes three major objectives. The first focuses on reducing inequalities in access to sexual and reproductive health services and improving service quality. The second aims to improve maternal health and reduce preventable maternal morbidity and mortality during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. The third objective seeks to improve newborn survival, health and development through quality neonatal care and equitable access to essential interventions.<\/p>\r\n
The programme also recognizes that certain groups face additional barriers in accessing information and healthcare services. These include adolescents, persons with disabilities, people from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. The new programme foresees targeted measures to better respond to the needs of these populations.<\/p>\r\n
The document was developed by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Institute of Mother and Child and the Nicolae Testemi\u021banu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. It builds on international best practices, previous national programmes and recent evidence regarding the sexual and reproductive health needs of the population.<\/p>\r\n
The approval of the National Programme on Sexual and Reproductive Health for 2026\u20132030 represents an important step towards strengthening reproductive healthcare services and supporting evidence-based public policies that respond to the needs of people across Moldova.<\/p>\r\n

Programul a fost aprobat la ini\u021biativa Ministerului S\u0103n\u0103t\u0103\u021bii \u0219i va ghida politicile \u0219i interven\u021biile din domeniu \u00een urm\u0103torii cinci ani.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Potrivit autorit\u0103\u021bilor, documentul urm\u0103re\u0219te reducerea disparit\u0103\u021bilor de acces la servicii, cre\u0219terea calit\u0103\u021bii \u00eengrijirilor oferite \u0219i asigurarea unui acces mai echitabil la informa\u021bii \u0219i servicii de s\u0103n\u0103tate sexual\u0103 \u0219i reproductiv\u0103, indiferent de mediul de re\u0219edin\u021b\u0103 sau statutul socioeconomic al persoanei.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Datele recente arat\u0103 c\u0103 accesul la servicii \u0219i metode moderne de contracep\u021bie continu\u0103 s\u0103 fie inegal. Conform Studiului Genera\u021bii \u0219i Gen (GGS) 2024, cererea de planificare familial\u0103 satisf\u0103cut\u0103 prin metode moderne de contracep\u021bie este de 56,9% \u00een r\u00e2ndul femeilor c\u0103s\u0103torite sau aflate \u00een coabitare. \u00cen mediul urban indicatorul ajunge la 61,2%, \u00een timp ce \u00een mediul rural este de 53,4%. Aceste diferen\u021be sunt influen\u021bate de disponibilitatea serviciilor, bariere economice \u0219i culturale, precum \u0219i de nivelul de informare privind s\u0103n\u0103tatea reproductiv\u0103.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Programul stabile\u0219te trei obiective generale majore. Primul vizeaz\u0103 reducerea disparit\u0103\u021bilor de acces \u0219i cre\u0219terea calit\u0103\u021bii serviciilor de s\u0103n\u0103tate sexual\u0103 \u0219i reproductiv\u0103. Al doilea urm\u0103re\u0219te \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea s\u0103n\u0103t\u0103\u021bii materne \u0219i reducerea morbidit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i mortalit\u0103\u021bii materne prevenibile pe parcursul sarcinii, na\u0219terii \u0219i perioadei postnatale. Cel de-al treilea obiectiv se refer\u0103 la \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea supravie\u021buirii, s\u0103n\u0103t\u0103\u021bii \u0219i dezvolt\u0103rii nou-n\u0103scu\u021bilor prin servicii de \u00eengrijire neonatal\u0103 de calitate \u0219i acces echitabil la interven\u021biile esen\u021biale.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Autorit\u0103\u021bile au subliniat c\u0103 adolescen\u021bii, persoanele cu dizabilit\u0103\u021bi, persoanele din grupuri socioeconomice dezavantajate \u0219i supravie\u021buitorii violen\u021bei sexuale \u0219i bazate pe gen se num\u0103r\u0103 printre categoriile care pot \u00eent\u00e2mpina dificult\u0103\u021bi suplimentare \u00een accesarea informa\u021biilor \u0219i serviciilor necesare.
