Their advocacy team recently presented comprehensive recommendations and organized a meeting with members of the National Assembly. This discussion focused on proposed amendments to the Law &#8220;On Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The National Assembly adopted the draft amendments in second reading on July 12. As a result of their persistent advocacy efforts, one of the key regulations in the new law allows women to undergo out-of-hospital medical abortions up to the 8th week of pregnancy. This means that medication abortions up to 8 weeks can now be performed in licensed medical organizations, either in or out of hospitals, providing greater accessibility and options for women who require the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we do not realize how lucky we are in Moldova because we already have these medical systems in place.<\/p>\n<p>This amendment is an important step forward in promoting women&#8217;s reproductive rights in Armenia.
