The Conference was organized by Kazakh Association of Family Planning (KMPA) and RHTC on the 7-8th<\/sup> April 2023, in hybrid format, on-line and in-person, with more then 400 participants attending. Caron Kim from HRP Head Quarter WHO, Geneva spoke at the start of the conference about the most recent WHO recommendations, specifically regarding self-managed MA and use of Telemedicine for MA, as recommended alternative for service delivery. Copies (50) of the WHO Abortion Care Guideline were distributed to the participants.<\/p>\n

A Master-class on MA was organized in the same day afternoon, which covered the aspects of safety, effectiveness and recommended by WHO regimens for MA, including the use of Telemedicine, conducted by Dr Rodica Comendant and dr Galina Grebennicova, KMPA Director, the country coordinator for GCC and SAAF project. Numerous questions have been answered by the speakers and many misunderstandings were clarified.<\/p>\n

On the next day, the 8th<\/sup> of April, in a morning session, the presentation on Moldova\u2019s experience using Telemedicine was presented by Dr Rodica Comendant, the results of the Pilot-study conducted with Gynuity Health projects in Uzbekistan, presented by dr Dilfuza Kurbanbekova and the results of the Formative Research on the feasibility of MA via Telemedicine in Kazakhstan were presented by Dr Grebennicova. The formative Research showed the following:<\/p>\n

14% of women consider that the access to abortion services is very poor and mentioned in 42% that is very expensive, 37% consider there are too many visits. 43% said women need to stay in the clinics for MA and only ob\/gyns can provide the MA services. 70% of women have the knowledge about Telemedicine, 33 % are sure they can manage MA themselves. 57% of them are very interested in Telemedicine MA and 78% consider it should be available in the country. The advantages they mentioned would be: the confidentiality, commodity, especially for rural area women and adolescents. They consider an information campaign should be carried out for better implementation.<\/p>\n

Providers mentioned in their answers that in 86% they want women to come personally, and in 90% they would like pregnancy confirmation with ultrasound exam. In 60% they mentioned barriers to MA like cost, low awareness of the method among women, 25% consider the insufficient knowledge of providers as a barrier.<\/p>\n

In 60% they think women can manage themselves MA and 40% – all the aspects of MA. 73% of providers know about telemedicine, the potential is very high in 65% and in 34% they think it can be introduced in the country.<\/p>\n

As next steps<\/strong> for MA via Telemedicine introduction participants of the round d table agreed that a piloting is necessary. A pilot study can be conducted in the capital city and in one of the regions and should enroll about 100 women. Evenimentul a avut loc \u00een perioada 7-8 aprilie 2023, \u00een format hibrid, on-line \u0219i fizic, la conferin\u021b\u0103 au participat peste 400 de persoane.\n\nLa \u00eenceputul Conferin\u021bei, din sediul central OMS, din Geneva, a luat leg\u0103tura cu participan\u021bii, Caron Kim, reprezentanta OMS \u00een cadrul \u201dProgramului de reproducere uman\u0103\u201d. Dumneaei a vorbit despre cele mai recente recomand\u0103ri ale OMS, \u00een special \u00een ceea ce prive\u0219te Avortul Medicamentos (AM) auto-gestionat \u0219i utilizarea Telemedicinei pentru AM, ca alternativ\u0103 recomandat\u0103 pentru furnizarea de servicii. \u00cen cadrul evenimentului participan\u021bilor le-au fost distribuite 50 de copii ale Ghidului OMS pentru \u00eengrijirea avortului.\n\n\u00cen aceea\u0219i zi a fost organizat un Master-class despre AM, care a vizat aspectele de siguran\u021b\u0103 \u0219i eficacitate, aspecte recomandate de OMS pentru regimurile de AM, inclusiv utilizarea Telemedicinei. Acest master-class a fost condus de, directorul CIDSR, Dr. Rodica Comendant\u00a0 \u0219i Dr. Galina Grebennicova, Director KMPA, coordonator de \u021bar\u0103 pentru proiectul GCC \u0219i SAAF. \u00cen cadrul acestui curs, \u00een urma discu\u021biilor active, s-au clarificat unele ne\u00een\u021belegeri ce \u021bin de acest domeniu \u0219i au fost oferite r\u0103spunsuri la multitudinea \u00eentreb\u0103rilor adresate de c\u0103tre participan\u021bi.\n\n<span>A doua zi, 8 aprilie, \u00eentr-o sesiune matinal\u0103, Dr Rodica Comendant a povestit despre experien\u021ba Republicii Moldova \u00een utilizarea telemedicinei, Dr. Dilfuza Kurbanbekova a prezentat rezultatele studiului-pilot realizat \u00een cadrul proiectelor Gynuity Health \u00een Uzbekistan, totodat\u0103 Dr. Grebennicova a prezentat rezultatele cercet\u0103rii formative privind fezabilitatea AM prin telemedicin\u0103 \u00een Kazahstan. <\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<span>Cercet\u0103rile formative au ar\u0103tat urm\u0103toarele: 14% dintre femei consider\u0103 c\u0103 accesul la serviciile de avort este foarte slab \u0219i au men\u021bionat \u00een propor\u021bie de 42% c\u0103 este foarte scump;37% consider\u0103 c\u0103 sunt necesare prea multe vizite; 43% consider\u0103 c\u0103 femeile trebuie s\u0103 r\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een clinic\u0103 pentru AM \u0219i numai medicii ginecologi-obstetricieni pot oferi serviciile AM;70% dintre femei de\u021bin informa\u021bie despre telemedicin\u0103, 33% sunt sigure c\u0103 pot gestiona singure un avort medicamentos; 57% din responden\u021bi sunt foarte interesa\u021bi de telemedicina AM \u0219i 78% consider\u0103 c\u0103 acest serviciu ar trebui s\u0103 fie disponibil \u00een \u021bar\u0103. Avantajele pe care le-au men\u021bionat responden\u021bii ar fi: confiden\u021bialitatea, comoditatea, \u00een special pentru femeile \u0219i adolescen\u021bii din mediul rural.
