Study - Identify the level of young people's knowledge of sex education through public libraries in the Republic of Moldova

Served population: Pre-adolescents and young people, from villages and towns of the Republic of Moldova, included in the risk group (selected by regional partners, (librarians and social workers). 350 young people surveyed. 5 focus groups*20 participants
Project goals:
- Conducting research to identify stereotypes and taboos in the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people, for further use in creating educational and awareness campaigns for young people.
- Promoting a peer-to-peer approach among young people. Dissemination of up-to-date, adventitious informational materials, AMAZE videos.
- To promote, through the project, trust in libraries as safe spaces for information and support on public issues, especially for young people.
Objectives:
- Drawing attention to the problem.
- Show young people that they are not alone with their problems, that they are not alone and that they have someone to turn to.
- Raise awareness of the topic among librarians.
- Widen access to information on sexual and reproductive health and rights for young people.
- Gather up-to-date data to develop and prepare a program that takes into account real issues and stereotypes.
