On May 13, 2021, with the occasion of the International Day of Families (on May 15), the Culture, Youth and Sports Department in Chisinau organized a webinar with professionals who work with adolescent and youth. The topic of the webinar was “The importance of reproductive health education in family planning” and it was facilitated by the Director of the Reproductive Health Training Center, Dr. Rodica Comendant.

Dr. Comendant’s presentation was broken down into three parts:

1. Reproductive health of adolescents and young people in the Republic of Moldova, confrontations and problems,
2. What are reproductive rights, the legal framework in the Republic of Moldova, and
3. What is Family Planning, modern methods of contraception: myths and realities.

The slides used by Dr. Rodica Comendant during the webinar can be found below. The CIDSR looks forward to collaborating with local authorities in organizing similar events in the future.
