Integration Summer Camp - Solidarity, Equality, Peace!

Population served: All children visiting the library during the year. 270 children during the summer integration camp, including refugee children, children with disabilities, children from vulnerable families, children from ethnic minorities.

General Objective:

To organize an integration children’s camp in partnership with the Adam Mickiewicz Polish Library as a professional, accredited educational institution in Chisinau with specific measures to increase inclusive access to educational services for children with disabilities.

Specific Objective 1:

Modernization of the toilet to meet the needs of children with disabilities. Selection of a company to carry out repairs, carrying out repair work.

Prepare the place for the children’s integration camp.

Prepare a lesson plan, invite and instruct staff members for summer camp shifts, prepare and materials for receiving children and teenagers, order a catering company, choose a tour bus, order branded reflective vests for children with partner logos. Announce enrollment of groups, hold meetings with parents and discuss terms of attendance.

Specific Objective 2:

Provide a children’s camp for the entire project period, 3 months, 6 shifts of 2 weeks each. In each shift there will be 2 groups: children 7-14 years old (up to 22 people), including children with disabilities, children from vulnerable groups, minorities and teenage volunteers 12-17 years old, up to 4 people. It will be the first time that children with disabilities will be able to participate fully in a rich program of integration, thanks to the increased access and the creation of an inclusive environment. Also100 children and youth will be able to use the counseling of a psychologist, visit tours of the city, enjoy sports and dance classes that will take place outside the library (stadium), as well as recreational activities that will take place in the street. A total of 500 children will attend the summer camp and 270 of children for half-day excursions and educational programs.

Specific Objective 3:

Coverage of the whole process of integration of children, visits to excursions, events, positive stories in social networks, release of videos with partner logos, including stories of children with disabilities and their impressions of visiting the summer camp. Announcement of the next events at the Polish Library after the end of the project.

Specific Objective 4:

Reporting, monitoring, evaluation of results.
